It's one of the better budget TVs we've tested this year but with the A7G available for such a great price, it's worth paying that little bit extra for the additional functionality and Quantum Dot tech. If you don't mind sacrificing the QLED panel and swapping Atmos for DTS Virtual:X, the Hisense A6G is even cheaper at £379. Still, if you can live without those services and want a large QLED TV for not much money, the Hisense A7G is your best bet of Black Friday/Cyber Monday so far. The selection of supported streaming services is broad too, though it's worth noting Disney+, Now and Apple TV+ are absent. This may not be as comprehensive or flashy as some smart platforms but still earns a place on our best smart TV platforms thanks to how intuitive, easy to navigate and customisable it is. Like all of Hisense's TVs, the A7G utilises the company's very own smart platform: VIDAA U. The object-based audio codec is best experienced via a surround sound speaker or soundbar setup but helps elevate the sound quality of in-built TV speakers when watching supported content too. Netflix also supports Dolby Atmos and that's another clever piece of tech the A7G can take advantage of. Dolby Vision is a particularly welcome inclusion as it's supported by streaming giant Netflix. On top of that QLED panel, the A7G boasts support for the HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision HDR formats.
